In Year 5, children do PE on a Monday and Wednesday.  

Please make sure your child attends school in their PE kit. 

Homework books will be sent out each Friday. Children should complete two of the tasks from the pick and mix sheet (1 Maths and 1 other) and return by the following Wednesday to be checked by the teacher. 

Children will receive spellings on a Friday in their spelling book. These should be taken home and practised over the week. Children will need to return their books to school on a Friday for their test and new spellings.

In Year 5, children have the responsibility of changing their own books as and when they need to.  The children should aim to read at least 5 nights at home. Adults and children are encouraged to sign the reading record book which will be checked in school daily.
