Year 2 Key Information
P.E
In In Year 2, Otters have PE on a Monday and Tuesday and Rabbits have PE on a Monday and Thursday. Please ensure children come into school in the correct PE kits.
Homework
Homework books will be sent out each Friday. Children should complete the tasks set and return them by the following Wednesday to be checked by the teacher.
Spellings
Children will receive a spellings sheet each Friday. These should be taken home and practised over the week. Children will need to return their sheets on to school on a Friday for their test and new spellings.
Reading
Books are changed weekly in Year 2 and children should aim to read at least 4 nights at home with an adult or older sibling. Adults are encouraged to sign the reading record book to show that they have done reading at home.
SATs
In May, all children in Year 2 will be sitting statutory assessments called SATs. They will be assessed formally in Maths and English. Booster sessions are taking place in school, please speak to your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
