Year 1 Key Information
In Year 1, Foxes and Squirrels do PE on a Thursday. Please ensure children come into school in the correct PE kits.
Homework books will be sent out each Friday. Children should complete the tasks and return them to school by the following Wednesday to be checked by the teacher.
Children should continue to learn the tricky words set by the teacher. The following resources have been added to this page

Books are changed weekly in Year 1 and children should aim to read at least 4 nights at home with an adult or older sibling. Adults are encouraged to sign the reading record book to show that they have read at home. Children must bring their reading folders into school every day for their guided reading sessions.
Phonics is taught daily in Year 1 and children will be assessed on their phonic ability in June during the 'Phonics Screening Week'. Please see below for further information:
