Teaching Assistant Level 2- Student Specific 

Essa Primary are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support pupils to access the curriculum through delivering interventions and providing one to one in-class support. Working under the guidance of teaching/senior staff, the successful candidate will undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

This post is a student specific role, to support a pupil with Down Syndrome and hearing impairment, currently in Reception and is fixed term to 31/08/2028 subject to the student remaining at Essa Primary Academy and funding continuing.

The post is 35 hours per week. Hours of work are 8:00-3:30 Monday to Friday.

Term Time plus 2 days. These 2 days are in addition to the days that pupils attend and normally occur at the start of each academic year. All staff are required to attend.

Grade D, Scale Point 6 (in the range 6-11, £19698 per annum FTE (actual salary for 35hours, term time plus 2 days £17404 approx per annum)

Lunchtime Organiser

We are currently recruiting for Lunchtime Organisers to work at Essa Primary. Lunchtime Organisers supervise our children during lunchtime, both in the dining hall and on the playground, ensuring that they are provided with fun activities and are kept safe at all times.

We have both permanent and casual roles available, permanent roles work 1 hour per day, between the hours of 11.30am and 1.00pm Monday to Friday, during term time plus 2 inset days (which normally occur at the start of each school year where you will attend training).

Casual roles are also available and these require people to work on an ‘as and when’ basis in order to cover absences.

We are looking for people who are kind and caring, are able to use their initiative and ensure that children are kept safe at all times.

All roles are paid at £9.81 per hour.
